This is our first non riding holiday and is designed for those who have always dreamed of seeing Mongolias wildlife and nature but don’t wish to or have the experience to do it from the saddle. You’ll get the same wonderful time with nomads, access to remoter wilderness areas and full support with chef and translators as well as traditional outfits just like on every other expedition.Come bird and wildlife watching with us. Attend the spring Crane festival in eastern Mongolia. We’ll take you to some of Mongolias most beautiful locations. In June, Mongolia experiences the late spring/early summer season, and this is an excellent time for birdwatching as many species are active during their breeding season.

Some of the birds you can potentially see in Mongolia in June include:
Demoiselle Crane (Grus virgo), Mongolian Lark (Melanocorypha mongolica), Pallas’s Sandgrouse (Syrrhaptes paradoxus), Siberian Rubythroat (Calliope calliope), Himalayan Vulture (Gyps himalayensis), Horned Lark (Eremophila alpestris), Altai Accentor (Prunella himalayana), Whooper Swan (Cygnus cygnus)

Remember that birdwatching can be highly dependent on specific locations, habitats, and the availability of water sources. Mongolia’s diverse landscapes, including steppes, deserts, and mountains, provide a range of habitats for various bird species.

Immerse yourself in the beauty of northern Mongolia as you venture into the homeland of the reindeer and the Dukha people. Additionally, spend a day with our exceptional guides in the Darkhad Valley, experiencing traditional yak, sheep, and goat herding, as well as horse racing. This untouched wilderness is home to critically endangered species, including ibex, snow leopards, moose, and argali.

Join us for a captivating journey through one of Mongolia’s most beautiful regions, the Orkhon Valley in the middle of the country. Over ten days, you’ll immerse yourself in the changing seasons and enjoy a leisurely pace riding yaks.
